Repository Policy

Fundamental Scientific Reports in Multidisciplinary Areas (FSRMA) supports the widest possible dissemination, accessibility, preservation, and reuse of scholarly research.

The journal permits authors to deposit and share versions of their manuscripts in institutional, disciplinary, subject-based, general-purpose, or other appropriate scholarly repositories.

FSRMA applies no embargo period to author self-archiving.

Permitted Versions

Authors may deposit the following versions of their work:

Submitted Version / Preprint

Authors may deposit the original manuscript submitted to FSRMA before peer review in:

  • Institutional repositories.

  • Subject or disciplinary repositories.

  • Preprint servers.

  • Personal academic websites.

  • Other appropriate non-commercial or scholarly platforms.

Authors are encouraged to identify the manuscript clearly as a preprint or submitted version.

If the manuscript is subsequently published in FSRMA, authors are encouraged to update the repository record with the citation and DOI of the final published article.

Author Accepted Manuscript

Authors may deposit the Author Accepted Manuscript (AAM) immediately after acceptance.

The accepted manuscript is the version that has completed peer review and contains all revisions required for acceptance but has not yet undergone the journal's final typesetting or production process.

No embargo period is imposed.

Authors are encouraged to include:

  • The full citation of the published article when available.

  • The article DOI.

  • A link to the official Version of Record.

  • A statement identifying the deposited file as the accepted manuscript.

Published Version / Version of Record

Authors may deposit the final published Version of Record immediately upon publication.

The Version of Record may be deposited in:

  • Institutional repositories.

  • Subject-specific repositories.

  • General-purpose scholarly repositories.

  • Funder-designated repositories.

  • Personal or institutional websites.

  • Other appropriate scholarly platforms.

No embargo period applies to the published version.

Licensing of Deposited Articles

FSRMA publishes scholarly articles under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0) unless otherwise clearly indicated.

Subject to the terms of the applicable licence, the Version of Record may be copied, shared, redistributed, and deposited in repositories.

Users must:

  • Give appropriate credit to the original author(s).

  • Provide a citation to the original publication.

  • Provide a link to the applicable Creative Commons licence.

  • Indicate whether changes were made.

  • Include the DOI or official article link where available.

FSRMA does not impose additional restrictions that conflict with the applicable Creative Commons licence.

No Embargo

FSRMA does not impose an embargo period on repository deposit.

Authors may deposit:

  • The Submitted Version immediately.

  • The Author Accepted Manuscript immediately.

  • The Published Version / Version of Record immediately upon publication.

This policy supports immediate Open Access and long-term availability of scholarly work.

Repository Choice

Authors may select an appropriate repository according to:

  • Institutional requirements.

  • Funder mandates.

  • Disciplinary practice.

  • Research-community standards.

  • Legal and ethical requirements.

FSRMA does not require authors to use a single specific repository.

Authors may use recognized institutional, disciplinary, national, or general-purpose repositories where appropriate.

Repository Metadata

When depositing an accepted or published version, authors are encouraged to include accurate bibliographic metadata such as:

  • Article title.

  • Author names.

  • Journal title.

  • Volume and issue.

  • Publication year.

  • DOI.

  • Citation.

  • Licence information.

  • Link to the official article page.

Accurate metadata helps maintain discoverability and ensures that repository copies are linked to the Version of Record.

Relationship Between Repository Copies and the Version of Record

The version published on the official FSRMA website is the authoritative Version of Record.

Repository copies should, where possible, provide a link to the official Version of Record using the article DOI or journal URL.

Repository deposit does not alter the citation, copyright status, or publication history of the article.

Preprints

Posting a manuscript as a preprint does not automatically constitute prior publication for the purposes of submission to FSRMA.

Authors should disclose the existence of a relevant preprint during submission and provide its persistent identifier or link where available.

If the article is subsequently published in FSRMA, authors are encouraged to update the preprint record with the final citation and DOI.

Theses and Dissertations

Authors may deposit manuscripts or related work in institutional thesis or dissertation repositories.

Previous inclusion of material in a thesis or dissertation does not automatically prevent consideration by FSRMA, provided that:

  • The submission complies with the journal's originality requirements.

  • Previous dissemination is appropriately disclosed.

  • Relevant material is properly cited.

  • Copyright and licensing requirements are respected.

Funder Requirements

Authors may comply with legitimate repository-deposit requirements imposed by research funders or institutions.

FSRMA supports repository deposit designed to meet Open Access mandates, provided that the deposit is consistent with:

  • The applicable Creative Commons licence.

  • Copyright requirements.

  • Ethical and confidentiality obligations.

  • Third-party rights.

Third-Party Material

Authors must ensure that third-party material included in an article can legally be deposited or redistributed.

Material not covered by the article's Creative Commons licence may have separate copyright or licensing restrictions.

Such material should be clearly identified and handled in accordance with the rights granted by the relevant copyright holder.

Sensitive and Restricted Material

Repository deposit must comply with relevant ethical, legal, privacy, confidentiality, and data-protection requirements.

Authors must not publicly deposit:

  • Confidential participant information.

  • Personally identifiable information without appropriate consent.

  • Restricted proprietary material.

  • Copyrighted third-party material without appropriate permission.

  • Data or content subject to legal or contractual restrictions.

Author Rights

FSRMA allows authors to retain copyright and full publishing rights to their articles without unnecessary restriction.

Authors remain free to:

  • Deposit permitted versions in repositories.

  • Share their articles.

  • Use their work in teaching and research.

  • Reuse their articles in future scholarly work.

  • Include their work in theses, dissertations, books, and other scholarly materials, subject to proper citation and the applicable licence.

These rights are consistent with the journal's Copyright and Licensing Policy.

Repository Policy Registration

FSRMA may register or record its repository and self-archiving policy with recognized policy directories such as Sherpa Romeo or other appropriate services.

Any external listing should accurately reflect the journal's current self-archiving terms.

Relationship with Other Journal Policies

This policy should be read together with FSRMA's:

  • Open Access Policy.

  • Copyright and Licensing Policy.

  • Archiving and Digital Preservation Policy.

  • Data Sharing Policy.

  • Publication Ethics and Research Integrity Policy.

  • Author Guidelines.

FSRMA supports immediate self-archiving and repository deposit as part of its commitment to Open Access, scholarly visibility, preservation, and responsible dissemination of research.
