Paper Prints Policy

Fundamental Scientific Reports in Multidisciplinary Areas is an open-access journal committed to the digital dissemination of scholarly work. However, recognizing the need for printed copies of published research for academic, institutional, and archival purposes, we have established the following Paper Prints Policy.

1. Digital-First Publication

As part of our commitment to sustainability and global accessibility, all articles published in the journal are primarily available in digital formats (PDF, HTML, XML). Paper prints of articles are made available only on request and are not the default method of dissemination.

2. Print Request Procedure

  • Individual Requests: Authors, researchers, and readers who wish to receive a paper print of a specific article may submit a print request through our website or by contacting the editorial team.

  • Institutional Requests: Educational institutions, libraries, and research centers interested in receiving paper prints for bulk distribution or archival purposes may request multiple copies through an official inquiry to the journal’s editorial office.

3. Availability and Costs

  • Print Availability: Paper prints will be made available for any article published in the journal. The print version will be a high-quality reproduction of the article, including all figures, tables, and references.

  • Cost of Prints: To cover the cost of printing, binding, and shipping, there will be a nominal fee charged per paper print order.

    • Domestic Orders: [Insert domestic cost per print here].

    • International Orders: [Insert international cost per print here].

  • Payment Method: Payments for paper prints can be made through [insert payment methods: e.g., credit/debit card, bank transfer, PayPal].

4. Print Specifications

  • Paper Quality: Printed copies will be made on high-quality, acid-free paper to ensure durability and long-term preservation.

  • Format: The articles will be printed in the standard journal format, including the title, abstract, body text, figures, tables, and references.

  • Binding: Paper prints will be provided in a soft-bound format, which includes the journal's cover page and article-specific details.

  • Delivery Time: Paper print orders will be processed and shipped within 3-5 business days after the request is confirmed. Delivery times vary depending on the destination.

5. Archival Copies

A limited number of paper copies may be printed for archival purposes by the journal, including copies for the editorial office, institutional archives, and major research libraries. These copies are provided at no charge to the institutions and will not be for resale.

6. Sustainability Considerations

In alignment with our environmental commitments, the journal encourages readers and authors to opt for digital formats whenever possible to reduce paper waste and carbon footprint.

  • Environmental Impact: The journal uses eco-friendly, recycled paper for printing whenever feasible and seeks to minimize the environmental impact of print orders.

  • Printing Limitations: We request that paper prints only be ordered when absolutely necessary, to maintain a balance between access to research and environmental sustainability.

7. Request Limitation

  • Maximum Print Orders: To minimize waste and environmental impact, each individual or institution may request a maximum of [insert limit] paper print copies per article, unless a special request is made for larger quantities.

  • Backlog Orders: Print requests for back issues will be subject to availability. For older issues, please allow for extended processing times.

8. Returns and Refunds

Since paper prints are made to order, they are non-refundable. If there is an issue with the print (such as incorrect formatting or quality), the journal will replace the print at no additional cost.
