Author Guidelines

Fundamental Scientific Reports in Multidisciplinary Areas (FSRMA) welcomes original, high-quality scholarly manuscripts that fall within the journal's multidisciplinary scientific scope.

Authors are requested to read these guidelines carefully before submitting a manuscript. Submission of a manuscript indicates that the authors agree to comply with the journal's editorial, ethical, copyright, licensing, and publication policies.

Scope of Submissions

FSRMA considers scholarly work from disciplines covered by the journal's Aims and Scope.

Submitted manuscripts should be:

  • Relevant to the journal's scope.
  • Original and scientifically sound.
  • Clearly written and appropriately structured.
  • Based on ethical and transparent research practices.
  • Not previously published as a journal article.
  • Not simultaneously under consideration by another journal.

Authors should consult the journal's Aims and Scope before submission.

Types of Manuscripts

FSRMA may consider the following types of scholarly submissions:

  • Original Research Articles
  • Review Articles
  • Systematic Reviews
  • Short Communications
  • Case Studies, where appropriate to the discipline
  • Methodological Articles
  • Technical Reports
  • Perspective or Commentary Articles, where invited or considered appropriate
  • Other scholarly article types approved by the editorial team

The journal may decline a manuscript type that does not fit its scope or editorial priorities.

Originality and Exclusive Submission

Manuscripts submitted to FSRMA must represent original work.

Authors must not submit the same manuscript simultaneously to another journal.

Previously published material must be properly cited and disclosed.

If a manuscript is based on a thesis, dissertation, conference presentation, preprint, report, or other publicly available version, this should be disclosed during submission where relevant.

Posting a manuscript as a preprint does not automatically prevent consideration by FSRMA, provided that the prior version is transparently disclosed.

Manuscript Preparation

Manuscripts should be written in clear academic English.

Authors are responsible for the accuracy, readability, grammar, spelling, and scientific terminology of their manuscript.

The manuscript should normally include, where appropriate:

  • Author names
  • Institutional affiliations

The abstract should provide a concise and accurate summary of the article.

For original research, authors are encouraged to summarize:

  • Background or purpose.
  • Methods.

  • Principal conclusion.

The abstract should not contain unsupported claims or references unless required by the discipline.

The organization of the main text should be appropriate to the article type and discipline.

Original research articles will commonly include:

  • Introduction

References

Authors are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all references.

References should:

  • Cite the original source whenever possible.

  • Be presented consistently.
  • Avoid unnecessary or manipulative citation practices.
  • Include DOI information where appropriate and available.

Identifiable information about participants should not be published unless valid consent for publication has been obtained.

Conflicts of Interest

All authors must disclose relevant financial, professional, personal, institutional, or other competing interests.

If no competing interests exist, authors should state:

“The authors declare that they have no competing interests.”

Further details are provided in the journal's Conflict of Interest and Competing Interests Policy.

If no specific funding was received, authors may state:

“This research received no specific grant from any funding agency in the public, commercial, or not-for-profit sectors.”

Data Availability

Authors are encouraged to provide a Data Availability Statement.

Where ethically and legally possible, research data supporting the article should be made available through an appropriate repository or reasonable-access mechanism.

Where data cannot be shared, authors should explain the restriction.

Further details are available in the journal's Data Sharing and Research Data Policy.

Artificial Intelligence and Automated Tools

Authors must disclose material use of generative AI or automated tools in accordance with the journal's AI policy.

AI tools:

  • Cannot be listed as authors.
  • Cannot take responsibility for published work.
  • Must not be cited as authoritative scholarly sources.
  • Must not be used to fabricate data, references, images, or results.

Authors remain fully responsible for all content produced or modified with AI assistance.

Routine spelling, grammar, or formatting assistance normally does not require detailed disclosure unless it substantially alters scholarly content.

Plagiarism and Text Similarity

Submitted manuscripts may be screened for plagiarism or text similarity.

Authors must ensure that all sources are properly acknowledged and that previously published material is transparently cited.

The journal does not determine plagiarism solely by a numerical similarity percentage.

Potential overlap will be assessed in context.

Further details are available in the journal's Plagiarism and Text Similarity Policy.

Peer Review

Research articles that pass initial editorial screening are evaluated under the journal's double-blind peer-review process.

Each research article is normally reviewed by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise.

The final editorial decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief or designated handling editor.

Further information is available in the journal's Peer Review Policy.

  • Minor Revision
  • Major Revision
  • Reject

Authors receiving a revision request should submit:

  • Revised manuscript.
  • Point-by-point response to reviewer and editor comments.
  • Explanation of any recommendation not followed.

A request for revision does not guarantee acceptance.

Article Processing Charges

FSRMA's complete author charges must be clearly disclosed on the journal website.

If the journal adopts the fee structure discussed for FSRMA, this section may state:

Article Processing Charge (APC): PKR 30,000 for authors based in Pakistan and USD 120 for international authors.

There is no submission fee.

The APC is payable only after a manuscript has successfully completed peer review and has been formally accepted for publication.

Payment of an APC does not influence peer-review or editorial decisions.

Any waiver or discount arrangements must be stated separately and transparently.

Copyright

Authors retain copyright and full publishing rights to their articles without unnecessary restriction.

Authors grant FSRMA the right of first publication and a non-exclusive right to publish, preserve, and distribute the article.

Open Access and Licensing

FSRMA is a fully Open Access journal.

All scholarly articles are made freely available immediately upon publication without an embargo period.

Authors who discover significant errors after publication should notify the editorial office promptly.

FSRMA may issue:
